Hamed Kashani

Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Hamed Kashani is an Iranian Islamic scholar, researcher and lecturer specialising in Islamic history and the intellectual and historical heritage of the Ahl al-Bayt (a). His scholarship encompasses Imamate studies, the life and legacy of Imam Ali (a), Nahj al-Balāghah, hadith and rijāl studies, Ashura, and the development of Shiʿa thought. He has delivered extensive courses and lectures in academic and seminary settings, including programmes associated with Imam Sadiq University and religious seminaries, and has contributed to the training of researchers in analytical Islamic history.

Kashani is also a prominent public speaker whose lectures, interviews and television appearances have brought detailed discussions of Islamic history to a broad audience. His recurring television programmes have included major series devoted to Imam Ali (a), his virtues, companions, governance and priorities, as well as appearances on the religious programme Samt-e Khoda.

A significant part of his work focuses on presenting the virtues and historical position of Amir al-Muʾminin Imam Ali (a) through careful engagement with historical and narrational sources.
